Focus
I build developer tools, backend systems, and mobile applications. My interests span systems programming, compilers, software security, and the design of efficient, maintainable software.
Rust and Swift are the two languages at the center of my work, each serving different purposes. I use Rust for systems programming, backend services, developer tools, and performance-sensitive components, while Swift is my primary choice for native application development, particularly within the Apple ecosystem. For web development, I primarily use TypeScript, building interfaces and applications with modern web technologies.
Beyond the languages themselves, I'm interested in how software works beneath its interfaces, from memory management and execution models to application architecture and interoperability across platforms.
My projects reflect different aspects of these interests. With Cribra, I explore deterministic data scanning and embeddable security tools. Tempra is my experimental programming language, where I investigate compilers, virtual machines, memory management, and runtime design. Through Silens, Crystal, and Halation, I work on practical software products built around focused responsibilities and clear architectural boundaries. Amon brings these interests into mobile development, combining social features with intelligent, deterministic pet care assistance.
I prefer straightforward solutions over unnecessary complexity. I value clear abstractions, predictable behavior, privacy, and software that can evolve without becoming difficult to understand or maintain.
This website is where I share my projects, technical experiments, and the decisions behind them.
