Lorenzo Pirro.
I'm Lorenzo Pirro, known online as Metalymph. I build developer tools, backend systems, and native applications, primarily using Rust and Swift, with TypeScript for the web. My interests include compilers, systems programming, and software security.

Cribra
Deterministic data scanning and redaction. Cribra is an open-source Rust toolkit for detecting and redacting sensitive information. Built around a portable, deterministic, and embeddable core, it provides reusable scanning capabilities across applications and platforms without relying on AI or external services.
-
Tempra
An experimental script-first systems programming language. Tempra is an experimental programming language combining the simplicity of scripting with the capabilities of systems programming. Built in Rust, it features a compiler, bytecode VM, experimental JIT, and a rich standard library. Its automatic memory management explores ARC removal through ownership-aware optimizations, without a tracing garbage collector. An additional Verified Mode focuses on stronger correctness guarantees.
-
Crystal by Silens
Privacy-first sensitive data scanning. Crystal is a privacy-first application built around the Cribra scanning engine. Designed to help users detect and redact sensitive information in documents and text, it performs scanning locally without uploading content to external servers. Built for the web as a PWA, with native mobile applications planned, Crystal makes deterministic data protection accessible through a simple interface.

Amon
A smarter companion for pets and their people. Amon is a mobile-first platform combining a social community with a personalized pet care coach powered by AI and deterministic logic. Designed to support everyday pet wellbeing, the coach helps owners manage nutrition, health, physical activity, routines, and other aspects of animal care. The project also explores privacy-conscious peer-to-peer messaging and cross-platform mobile experiences.
Deterministic Data Scanning for Resource-Constrained Systems with Cribra
How Cribra treats sensitive-data scanning as an explicit execution contract: whole-source semantics, chunk-safe streaming, transactional incremental updates, and resource budgets that are honest about what they measure.
